Biography

Born on 16th February 1990 in Erode to R.Mohanasundaram and M.Sathyavathy, Dhayalan was born into humble circumstances but would learn life values from his hardworking father. He studied at Carmel Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Erode. completed his graduation in B-Tech Biotechnology at VIT University, Vellore. After graduating in 2011, he joined his father’s growing dairy business, Amirthaa in Erode.

As a young child, Dhayalan watched his father grow the dairy business from scratch, interacting with local farmers, growing the workforce, and implementing new business strategies. R.Mohanasundaram founded Amirthaa Dairy in the year 1984 as a cycle vendor with a capital of just Rs.750/- and scaled it up to Rs. 500cr company by the year 2011.

Ever since he entered the family business in 2011, Dhayalan has implemented various techniques in key business areas along with his team of experts. In 2017, under his able leadership, the Amirthaa business included a new state-of-the-art facility that is entirely automated. The automated facility is capable of processing 5 lakh litres of milk per day and produce other value-added products like paneer, flavoured milk, ghee, butter, yogurt, skimmed milk powder, dairy whitener, and khova
Today, under Dhayalan’s tutelage, Amirthaa dairy is associated with 15,000 farmers, procures around 5 lakh litres of milk per day through its 12 chilling centers and 1000+ collection centers. The collected milk is brought to the main plant for processing which is handled by 700 well-trained staff. The finished products are then transported through reefer vehicles to 450+ dealers and 15000+ retailers of the company located across the state of Tamil Nadu & Kerala. Long shelf-life products like Skimmed Milk Powder, Dairy Whitener, Whole Milk Powder, UHT Milk, Milkshakes, and Ghee are also marketed and sold across India.

In 2020, Dhayalan’s relentless efforts, Amirthaa achieved annual revenue of 500cr and brought in accolades from the Silicon India Magazine as the company of the year in the dairy sector category.

Dhayalan is a life member of the Coimbatore Rifle Association, where he winds down and enjoys a round of shooting. In recent years, Dhayalan has forayed into real estate development. He heads Hectare Pvt. Ltd. as its Managing Director and Greenfield Housing India Pvt. Ltd. as Director.
